The Power of a Praying® Woman

This book, along with some others, truly saved my life. It not only saved my life - but gave me a glorious life. Every battle I go through as a Christian, I come back to it time and time again. I have prayed the prayers so many times I have them memorized by now, and therefore, often pray them over other women. I also have probably put Stormie's children through college because of how many copies I have purchased for girlfriends. Teehee! It has single handedly also either changed or saved their lives. I agree with another reviewer, make sure to check that you are not ordering just the book of prayers or the study guide; as the original book is the BEST. Packed full of wisdom. So much wisdom, in fact, that it will help you as a baby Christian and/or speak to you completely differently as a mature, spiritual warrior Christian. I just can't say enough about Stormie and her books. I want her to read this so that she knows what an impact this book has/had on my life. Bless you, Stormie, just Bless you!

Stormie says, "Lord, show me what is in my mind, heart, soul spirit, that shouldn't be there. this book will challenge your thinking. She gets right to the point. Basic stuff as well, like singing praises to the Lord. Singing a favorite song so much that it plays in your head like a tape recorder, or lifting your hands in prayer. I was never comfortable with that aspect but did not realize the Lord commands it. Psalm 134:2. Dance and play instruments before the Lord, not sultry dancing but dancing for the pure joy in order to praise the LORD. Her book lists 7 signs of a desirable friendship and 7 signs for undesirable friendship. Plus so much more. If you want a better walk with the LORD, then read this book.

This is the second time Im reading this book. I read it for the first time in another language about 9 years ago. It was then and 9 years later it still is the best book I have ever read. The best word to summarize my experience with it is transformational! Im holding the urge of reading more than one chapter per day because I want to be able to absorb and digest it fully piece by piece. As each day is going by I'm experiencing more and more peace and joy in my life. Im about half way into the book and im not following the chapters sequence but I'm picking whatever chapter I feel the need for that particular day. Although only half way into it, this journey has already been incredible. Through this book and praying time, God is revealing to me my own self (fears, insecurities...) and all the important things I have to lay down to Him for Him to move forward with the great plan He has for my future. I know that I know that He will entrust me with big dreams. But, I now also know that I am where I'm supposed to be at this season of my life as He is working in me to get me ready for it. And this book was a very important tool in this process of talking more and hearing more from God. That's what praying time gives us. Thank you very much sister Stormie Omartian.

This isn't book I received I need this book has it is Stormies Revised version to go along w new study but instead I received her old version that don't pair up with new study. I contacted seller hopefully we get this resolved I love her old version but need new one for study. I added photo of book I got and second one is real one the one I needed and one that was on post that's why I bought. Mistakes happen I'm tottaly understanding of that just praying I can get right book.

This book includes good prayers and reflections for all kinds of life situations. I read through this once, and I plan on rereading it. I can see this book being good for all women, whether younger or older, single, married, divorced, with kids, without kids. The author did a great job, and I highly recommend it.

This is excellent!I feel that she was in tuned with the Holy Spirit as she wrote this. There is a certain transparency that was felt in this book. I love the prayers and the scriptures that each chapter was based on. This book has brought a spotlight to my own flaws and it is encouraging to know that we all suffer from some thorn. I am elevated and pumped since reading this book. I will say that in order to drink in what she says, I encouraged each person to read this one day at a time to let the words be applied to heart.

This book, together with God's love and the Holy Spirit, has changed my life. I'm almost done reading it; can't wait to finish it so I can read it again. It's conveniently divided in short chapters and an amazing prayer at the end of each one. I would recommend to those who are starting their journey with God or those who have stranded and want to come back to Jesus.

Excellent guide to praying more specifically and regularly for yourself in this case and for your family through her other books. Good for when you want to pray and don't know what to say. It contains scenarios from her family life or life in general, specific prayers for everyday situations and feelings and relevant Bible verses. A good general prayer guide. I've had the paper copies of her books for many years and have just bought the kindle versions for easier access.

Great prayers and thoughts. I didn't agree with every single thing written. But I believe that we all express our faith differently and that's OK. The main thing is that this book contains affirming prayers and cements the belief that a we can become more through Christ and effective prayer. I will be using the prayers again.

This is the best book I have bought in my life...I bought the kindle version but about to purchase the paper back and the prayer and study guide. I've gotten so close and connected with God. I also bought power of a praying wife and parent...fabulous author
