This hydration bladder has a great design that is compatible with several styles of hydration backpacks. One was purchased for my EVOC blackline bike pack and it fits perfectly. I liked it so much that I got one for my Camelback HAWG. The construction is sturdy and the pack has all the features like an insulated tube and a mouthpiece cover that are usually found on more expensive units.Note to manufacturer: If there were one are for improvement it would be to replace or offer a 90 degree bite valve. The straight bite valve works fine, but to get a good flow, you have to turn your head slightly in the direction of the tube. Not ideal when you are riding a bike or hiking. This pack would be 100% with a 90 bite valve.

I've had this about a year. It fits in my Osprey day hiking backpack. In that sense, it is both convenient and supremely annoying. I have to remove everything from my backpack to put this thing back in, and once it is in, it takes us so much space that it's hard to fit anything else! However, it does work well and I haven't experienced any mold or foul taste, so that's a plus.On several occasions I have found that the bag slips out of the black clip that is supposed to clamp it shut, losing my precious water supply and drenching my stuff! For this reason, and because of the extreme hassle it would be to try and refill this and purify the water on the trail, I've decided to go back to a plain old Nalgene water bottle. However, if you are doing a simple day hike and don't need to worry about refilling your supply, this works well for the money. Just make sure you check the clamp before the bag slips!

I purchased this in March for a June hiking trip. My fault for not trying it before the trip! The"Microban" imprinted branding on the front of the bladder penetrated the vinyl, thus making poking a hole in the bladder and making it leak! Could use it if only if less than 1/3 filled. Had to visit an outfitter in Utah for a replacement bladder. And now it's past the Amazon return time frame, so a wasted $21. Again, my fault for not testing prior to my trip, but still a bad/defective produc.t

All this time I had been just replacing the bladder when I could have been using this product to clean them and save money. These work great and I especially love the little one to clean regular bottles and areas that normal brushes can’t get it fit into. You will definitely find many uses for these! I highly recommend!

It's insanely easy to upkeep. Easy to clean, fill and overall use. The mouthpiece started to detatch, leak and cause problems after a year of heavy use but some tight zip ties to secure mouthpiece to tubing solved everything. Would recommend to friends!

I took this on a hiking trip in New Zealand and it worked perfect! The water tasted fine, I did soak it in hot water twice for an hour each after reading some of the reviews. The bladder did not leak at all and it fit perfect in my day pack. The water actually stayed relatively cool in the day pack. The longest hike we went on was 7-8 hours and the water lasted through the entire hike. For the shorter hikes, we needed less water and just filled the bladder up less. It is really nice to have the option to take 3L along. The cover on the mouth piece is clutch, keeps dirt out nicely! I fell hiking down a hill covered in volcanic ash and the mouth piece was clean! Sometimes the hose kinked in the day pack, but was easy to straighten out. The hose worked really well, water flow was good. You do have to pull the mouth piece out before drinking which keeps it from leaking well. Would recommend for long hikes!!

Used these for a week of urban hiking and they held up well. I kept it in my backpack and originally had it strapped into my back, though at some point throughout the day the straps caused it to leak out of the screw cap and got my bag wet. Not the bladders fault, i just had the straps in the wrong place. Once I moved the straps no more issues. Im not a fan of the screw cap because I have been filling mine from the top so for me it just gets in the way. As for the taste I rinsed it out a few times prior to our first use and had no tastes or odors at all. Water tasted just as good as it did coming out of the tap!

Works great. No leaking. Easy to refill. No plastic taste to the water. It remains upright in my backpack when I pass my pack's velcro tab through the plastic slidelock at the top of the bladder. My ONLY COMPLAINT is that it didn't come with written instructions and, despite vigorous sucking on the mouthpiece, I couldn't figure out how to get water to flow through the tubing. I finally located a video for this brand on YouTube where I learned there is a twist lock just above the bite valve. Once I unlocked it, water flowed easily when I bit down on the mouthpiece.
