Good entry-level head set.
Solidly built. Effective and affordable. No active noise canceling at this price point for an American product. Good entry level headset for Pilot Training.

Good for starters!
This is a good headset for student pilots starting out and not wanting to spend a fortune on a headset. The dials on the sides adjust the volume of each ear allowing for custom volume.

Just what I needed.
Not A20s but not the same price. Clear and sharp sound for a student.

Sturdy, great for training and pilots with hearing aids.
I don't know what I could say about these that hasn't been said by thousands before me. I use these for my flight training in the 172. My instructor has them also. I have about 65 hours on them so far. They are comfortable and since I wear hearing aids I can't wear "On Ear" or "in Ear" headsets. These cut the engine noise very well and the individual volume controls suits my situation nicely. I am not headed for a professional flight career so I did not want to spend $1200 for a headset. At the beginning I did try active noise cancelling headphones and they did not work for me since my digital hearing aids have some noise cancelling already built in.

Very pleased older student pilot
I'm a student pilot at age 62 and I really don't have much of a base of comparison, but I bought this as my training headset and I have been very pleased with it. Very durable so far and very clear receive and transmit. I can't tell you whether it's the plane or the mic, but listening to my calls over recorded LiveATC, I sound remarkably clearer than most others on CTAF. I have some differential high-frequency hearing loss that's not too uncommon for people my age and the ability to adjust my headset volume independently overall AND for each ear individually allows me to have much different volumes than my instructor in the right seat so we can both be comfortable. I still consider this a good purchase and relied heavily on the good name and reputation that David Clark has in the aviation industry.

Getting it used means it's not going to work as good
I'm a little disappointed, I got my headset used, I figured what could go wrong? I'll save enough money for another flight lesson...well there's static in the mic. I need to learn to stop being so cheap I guess.

Blessing without breaking the bank
Highly impressed. With such a long-standing brand-name, they absolutely stand behind their product. Would consider this the BMW of headsets without needing to go to the Rolls-Royce of Bose and triple the cost.
