Would love a short You Tube video tutorial by the author showing her crocheting one of the animals....
I consider myself an advanced beginner in crochet.....I know most of the stitches but they don't look even like the experienced crocheters. I also get frustrated with complicated patterns, since I crochet slowly. I got this book on kindle and it's now my fave amigurumi book. The patterns are easy, the lion came out great and I love that the author included a large size and a smaller chibi sized lion.i don't want to mess with tiny tiny arms so I did the larger size. It came out a few inches larger than the authors lion but she crochets tightly. I would love to see her crocheting in action.....I am unable to do this tightly without tensing my left hand so much that it hurts.

Simplistic designs, but large quantity and some cute stuff.
This book has a lot of animals and other interesting things like a hot air balloon and flowery mobiles. Many of the animals look awfully simplistic and she uses a LOT of felt pieces for facial features, which I don't like doing so I subbed some crochet for the nose felt on the unicorn. There are at least 3 or 4 unique and fun things in here, with tons and tons of simple little cute animals.4 stars only because of how overly-simple most of the things are, and because of the lack of directions for where exactly to attach body parts and eyes etc. You just have to kind of guess from a couple pictures that aren't always easy to guess from. There are no diagrams and only written instructions. The unicorn came out pretty cute though so 4 stars it is :)

The patterns were easy to follow
I have been crocheting for over 60 years. I found this book to include many darling patterns. I worked up a couple of them to see how the instructions went. The patterns were easy to follow, and turned out little critters I could not keep. Everyone who saw one of them wanted it.I highly recommend this book for crafters who are interested in amigurumi.

If you have not purchased a ami book from this author... Great buy!
I am also in agreement with the other low reviews, do not purchase if you own her previous work! This book contains several repeats. However, if you are new to the world of ami, finally returned other ami books to the library/friends, or ready to make some summer craft goals, this is a great purchase. The book contains what I believe are the highlights of Paula-Rimoli's other ami books.

Amazing product
I’m a beginner crocheter along with my sister, and we both agree that this book makes it fun and easy to crochet stuffed animals. It has a very helpful glossary and visual dictionary to help teach users stitches (DO NOT ATTEMPT TO START A PROJECT WITHOUT READING THIS SECTION), which I found incredibly helpful. It’s great on a rainy day and super convenient that it uses one size yarn for the most part. My only complaint is that it is a bit frustrating when your result looks nothing like the book’s illustration, so I recommend only purchasing this book if you have the patience to try repeatedly. Over all this is a great product I would recommend to the crocheter looking to expand their horizons past blankets and scarves.

The Big Book of Little Amigurumi
Got this book while browsing on Amazon, since I am just getting into Amigurumi I knew I needed this in my collection. It contains a nice variety of patterns that could fit anyone's skills, and perfect for me as a beginner for this type of crochet. I haven't made anything from this book yet but already have several patterns picked out for when I finish the multitude of projects I have going on now.

If you own her other books, don't bother.
The patterns are great! Easy to crochet and clear directions. Her patterns are always cute and I love them. So why the 2 star rating?? I have all of Ana Rimoli's other books and this is just a re-hash of old patterns from those other books. I feel ripped off and disappointed. I was looking forward to some new patterns by Ana. When I pre-ordered the book months ago it was not made clear that these were just a bunch of old patterns that had already been published. I'll pass it on the some other crocheter but you can bet I won't be pre-ordering her next book. I'll wait and make sure the patterns are new.

Crochet beginner, not enough in between instructions.
I'm pretty new to crochet and I tried to make the Boston Terrier Santiago and I'm struggling quite a bit because the're no in between photograps or instructions of how to connect things, ex: "stuff muzzle a little and sew to face." Ok, where exactly is the face area I should be sewing the muzzle on to?If anyone has made Santumiago please help me understand the head/ face situation. I've redone everything 3 times now and can't get past ends 16 &17.I understand this is how crochet patterns work (written this way) but can't there at least be donde photos of the works in progress?

Good book but beware if you live in the UK! It's for Worsted yarn!
I'm really enjoying this book. The patterns are easy to follow and produce great results. The only problem I have is that these patterns are American and they're made using Worsted weight yarn which we don't really have an equivalent of in the UK and even if you do find some, the colour ranges are very limited. Which only really leaves us with Double Knit yarn which is finer so the toys come out smaller than they are intended too. This isn't a problem for most of the patterns but some are tiny so in DK yarn, they're even tinier! In hindsight, I wish I'd bought an Amigurumi book for DK yarn instead.

Brilliant for a learner
As I flicked through the book nothing jumped out saying make me the toys are constructed with very basic shapes nothing challenging the kind of patterns you can do watching tv, safety eyes are required along with bits of felt for muzzles. I think the book is overpriced for a long time crocheter like me but maybe good value to a learner and to be fair I ordered this book by mistake I thought it was the knitted toys book I had on my list. It's a chunky little book with 72 patterns so a learner has a fabulous choice to choose from. I am a knitter/crocheter that needs to be challenged in my project using the same colour of wool and the same stitch throughout a project would bore the socks of me.

Really nice, easy to follow patterns
A really nice collection of cute characters to make. There's something for everyone - all sorts of animals and a good selection of objects and food too. The patterns are well thought out and easy to follow with clear instructions on how to construct the finished item. I've made quite a few things and plan to make more. This is a book I'll be returning to often.
